The VSNW awards are back!
We’re pleased to announce the return of the VSNW Funding & Commissioning Awards 2025, shining a light once again on the commissioners and funders who go the extra mile to support the North West’s voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector.
This year’s awards aim to recognise teams that show a strong commitment to fairness, innovation and partnership. We know how crucial it is to highlight what good looks like – not only to celebrate it, but to learn from it.
If you’ve worked with a commissioner or funder in the last 18 months who really understood your organisation, communicated well, and helped build financial resilience in a difficult climate, we want to hear from you. Your story could inspire others and shape our future conversations with decision-makers across the region.

Outstanding Grant Funder 2024: Eric Wright Charitable Trust
Recognised for their impactful and sustained funding that empowers VCFSE organisations and supports long-term community resilience and growth.Outstanding Commissioner – Local Authority: Manchester City Council’s Our Manchester Funds Team
Honoured for their collaborative approach, respect for community expertise, and commitment to inclusion, which has strengthened and uplifted the VCFSE sector in Manchester.Outstanding Commissioner – Local Authority: Wirral Borough Council’s Public Health Team
Celebrated for their partnerships with local organisations to address health inequalities and their innovative and adaptable public health solutions.Outstanding Commissioner – NHS: Wirral Place
Acknowledged for integrating health and community services, prioritising VCFSE involvement, and demonstrating transparency and commitment to health equity.

How to nominate
Fill in this short nomination form and email it to info@vsnw.org.uk with the subject line “VSNW Awards 2025” by 9am on Friday, 3rd October 2025.
You’ll find full guidance and criteria on the nomination form, including a helpful list of qualities to consider when making your submission.
And remember – as part of your nomination, we’d love to know if you and the nominated person or team would be available to attend our annual conference on Thursday, 27 November to accept the award in person. It’s not essential, but it does help us celebrate properly and share your achievements more widely.
