"VSNW is pleased that the Department of Health -- through the award of one of the largest Strategic Partner Programme contracts to Regional Voices (a collaboration of all nine regional voluntary sector networks) -- recognises the key role that regional work can make in building a stronger partnership between the NHS and the voluntary and community sector and how that will support better health services for people.

As a member of the Health & Social Care Network in the North West you will:
- receive a regular Health e-Bulletin that will keep you up to date with key regional and national policy issues relating
- have access to the dedicated support of VSNW’s Policy & Network Officer (Health & Social Care)
- have opportunities to network with organisations dealing with similar challenges and negotiating with the same network of public agencies
- be able, through VSNW and our connections, to influence regional and national health policy and implementation issues - a key part of this work will support the delivery of the Regional Voices' national project to develop better partnerships between the NHS and the sector.
There are now over 150 members of VSNW’s Health and Social Care Network.

The Health White Paper Consultation
CONSULTATION FULLY BOOKED
The White Paper on Health has the potential to create one of the biggest changes to the structure and function of the NHS since its creation in 1948. Within the White Paper there are 5 consultations which are all open until early October. Although the ‘what’ in the White Paper has largely been decided, the ‘how’ is very much still being shaped.
