The next five years

Over the next five years we will champion the role of the sector as an essential partner in shaping fairer communities. We will work to secure better investment, improve relationships with strategic authorities and strengthen the voice and influence of VCFSE organisations at local, sub regional and regional levels.

Our priorities focus on three core areas:

  • First, supporting the sector to thrive by strengthening leadership, encouraging collaboration and providing practical resources that help organisations succeed.
  • Second, influencing policy and investment so that decisions about people and places recognise the value and insight of the VCFSE sector.
  • Third, building strong networks that connect organisations, share learning and create opportunities for collective action.

Throughout the plan we commit to working in a way that reflects our values of fairness, inclusion and collaboration. We will continue to champion lived experience, promote community power and help create systems that work with people rather than doing things to them.

By 2030 we aim to see a more resilient, confident and visible VCFSE sector across the North West, recognised for the essential role it plays in improving lives and strengthening communities.
