Regional strategy evidence base
The North West Development Agency (NWDA) is currently developing the evidence base for a single regional strategy for the North West.
In the past, the regional evidence base was developed to support a regional economic strategy. Undoubtedly, the new strategy will have a strong economic focus. It will be something about building prosperous places in the North West.
What that means has not been defined and the regional strategy will, in part, be a debate about what we and our partners understand to be truly prosperous places and how best to build such communities. Key, at this stage, is to make evidenced positive statements (VSNW submission and timetable) about us as a sector (and as parts of that sector) and as a crucial partner.

The Health White Paper Consultation
CONSULTATION FULLY BOOKED
The White Paper on Health has the potential to create one of the biggest changes to the structure and function of the NHS since its creation in 1948. Within the White Paper there are 5 consultations which are all open until early October. Although the ‘what’ in the White Paper has largely been decided, the ‘how’ is very much still being shaped.
