Launch of BIG Assist programme

25 September 2012

The BIG Assist programme will offer tailored support to help voluntary sector infrastructure organisations to increase their efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability. Each organisation will be initially assessed and then vouchers may be provided so they can choose the right support services for their needs.

Support will be offered in the following categories:

  • Strategy, planning and managing change
  • Financial sustainability
  • Innovation, new products and ways of working
  • Marketing and building relationships
  • Supporting and developing people & organisational culture

The support offered may be financial but a large element of the programme will be peer to peer support, allowing organisations to learn from one another. Therefore, even if an infrastructure organisation is not awarded vouchers, it can still benefit from the experience of others.

BIG Assist will be launched officially in autumn 2012 but the supplier application process is now open. More details can be found on the BIG Assist website or by emailing assist@ncvo-vol.org.uk
