Greater Manchester opportunity to support ex-offenders into employment

11 September 2012

GMCVO, as lead organisation, has been shortlisted to take forward an application to stage two of the National Offender Management Service CFO - Social Enterprise Consortia Building Fund.

The fund aims to support the development of consortia that can deliver employability services to ex-offenders within the criminal justice sector. The model already submitted by the Building Bridges Partnership for stage one proposed the development of a supply chain of organisations which:

  • Provide employment opportunities through trading
  • Work with employers to broker employment opportunities
  • Supply training and support that ex-offenders may need
  • Support ex-offenders into self-employment

If you organisation is interested in being part of the supply chain, you are asked to complete a survey on the GMCVO website
