Job Opportunities: Hyde Community Action

Hyde Community Action is a successful and well respected 'community anchor' charity based in Hyde, nine miles east of central Manchester. They were established four years ago and aim to promote health and well being, engagement, social cohesion, and economic inclusion through locally developed and led solutions. Their work is based on comunity development principles.
They are recruiting for a Chief Officer and a Youth Co-ordinator as per the details below:
Chief Officer
They are looking for an experienced and values driven Chief Officer who can build on their success and lead the organisation through the next phase of their development. If you have experience of leadership and management in a small organisation, have a proven track record of successful fundraising and are committed to working inclusively with communties to bring about positive change and social justice, you may be the person they are looking for.
The salary for the role is circa £30,000 for a full time permanent position.
Youth Co-ordinator
Hyde Communtiy Action has a growing range of youth activities, and requires an enthusiastic and experienced person to coordintate this area of work, and lead and dvelop the small team of staff, sessional workers and volunteers delivering it. The work is led by young people and has a focus on human rights, equalities, active citizenship and community cohesion.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience of youth and community work with diverse groups of young people, and be committed to working inclusively with communities to bring about positive change and social justice. Knowledge of the local community would be an advantage.
The salary for this post is £24,648pa for a full time fixed term contract until March 2013 with continuation subject to ongoing funding.
