BBC Children in Need Grants

Organisations and projects must be based in the UK and need to be a registered charity or other not-for-profit organisation.
There are four general grant deadlines each year: 15 January, 15 April, 15 July, 15 October.
Within the Children in Need general grants programme, you can apply for:
Small Grants of £10,000 or less per year for up to three years
Main Grants over £10,000 per year for up to three years
Their focus is firmly on children and young people experiencing disadvantage. It is important that organisations are able to fully describe the disadvantage faced by young people and explain how this affects the children and young people's lives.
They will need to demonstrate an excellent targeting strategy which will ensure that they are reaching the most disadvantaged young people in your area.
They should also consider how children and young people’s voices have influenced the project proposal.
The Children in Need regional staff can advise on types of projects and organisations they can fund. It is highly recommended that organisations discuss their application with a member of the North Regional team before applying.
