Empty Homes Community Grants fund open for applications

The Communities Minister Andrew Stunell has appointed fund manager Tribal - who have a wealth of experience in dealing with voluntary and community groups - to manage distribution of funding to successful applicants. Tribal will also assess applications and report back to the Department according to the criteria set out in the guidance.
Successful applications will:
- bring empty homes back into use as affordable housing
- deliver value for money
- have support from their local authority
- expect to be complete by 31 March 2015
The application guidance sets out the requirements, assessment criteria and timetable for bids from the Empty Homes Community Grants Fund. Prospective applicants for funding from the Community Grant Fund are encouraged to read the application guidance alongside the Empty Homes section of the Housing Strategy http://www.communities.gov.uk/publications/housing/housingstrategy2011.
