BIG Innovation Fund - Round 2 open for applications

The BIG Innovation fund is specifically about supporting new projects that test new ways of tackling emerging and existing social problems. The idea is considered as ‘new’ if it hasn’t been tried anywhere else in the UK.
By innovative, they mean projects that:
- Create new kinds of activity and service to tackle new or emerging social needs
- Create new ways of addressing a current social problem
The programme will award grants of between £20,000 and £1 million for projects running up to five years that seek to achieve both of the following outcomes:
- New solutions are delivered which better address emerging and entrenched social problems
- Learning from innovative approaches is used to inform wider policy and practice.
