General Medical Council public consultation ‘Good Medical Practice’

Good Medical Practice, the General Medical Council’s core guidance for all doctors, sets out the standards, principles and values expected of doctors. It plays a vital role in keeping patients safe and improving professional standards, and GMC want to ensure it remains up-to-date and relevant to doctors in their day to day practice.
An online questionnaire will be available to complete on the GMC's online consultation website https://gmc.e-consultation.net/econsult. If any patient or public groups would prefer to attend a roundtable to discuss the content, this can be arranged through the Regional Liaison Service. The consultation closes on Friday 10 February 2012. Once the consultation closes GMC will analyse responses which will support the publishing of a new edition of Good Medical Practice in late 2012.
