Big Lottery Fund - Consultation on proposed policy directions

The Cabinet Office is consulting on proposed new Big Lottery Fund policy directions.The results of this consultation will affect how £600m per year funding is used and this will have an enormous impact on the VCS. The majority of BIG's funding has previously been directed at the VCS.
VSNW has produced a briefing paper and is strongly urging VCS groups to consider the following five points and let Cabinet Office know what you think:
• The Third Priority: the social investment market
• Percentage going to VCS groups
• Defining social enterprise
• Being clear about the principle of additionality
• Equity and evidence of need
The more groups who respond to the consultation the better chance we have of protecting this vital source of funding for the sector.
The consultation process does not allow for formal collective responses.
Groups will need to complete the attached 'Consultation Questions Template' (rich text format). This will then need to be sent to the Cabinet Office by email to biglotteryfundconsultation@cabinet-office.gsi.gov.uk or by post:
