One North West - Reading the Riots Project

Dan Silver from One North West has been appointed to work with the Guardian/London School of Economics with their Reading the Riots project.The project will involve over 30 researchers across the country doing one hour interviews with people involved in the riots and a wide range of research by partners leading to a solid report with recommendations and coverage in the national press. Dan said, "This is a unique collaboration and is aimed at developing evidence to influence policy in light of the Government failing to do an inquiry. This should hopefully challenge the rhetoric coming from Government blaming ‘feral’ young people. The editor of the Guardian spoke to us and told us the Ministers are very keen to learn. I really think this will have a major impact."

Dan is looking for further peopIe to interview who may have been involved in the riots. The interview would be for an hour and will be absolutely confidential, and will provide people with a true opportunity to have their voice heard. The interviews only last for October and he is very keen to provide a NW perspective.
