The Independent Riots Communities and Victims Panel has been set up to examine and understand why the August 2011 riots took place.
The Panel aims to talk directly to people who were affected in their communities including young people, local business owners, parents and residents. It will look at:
An interim report will be published in November and a final report in March 2012.
The Panel want to hear from as many people as possible and work with academics, Government and other organisations to gather evidence and analysis. Views can be emailed to riotspanel@communities.gsi.gov.uk, or in writing to Riots Panel, 6th floor, Eland House, Bressenden Place, SW1E 5DU. Evidence to be included in the interim report, should be submitted by the end of October.
