According to Chris White MP, the Public Services (Social Enterprise and Social Value) Bill's sponsor, the Committee stage will start early to mid-October. The Bill should be law by Summer 2012.
"The Bill aims to strengthen the social enterprise business sector and make the concept of 'social value' more relevant and important in the placement and provision of public services", particularly at pre-procurement stage.
