Voluntary Sector North West
St. Thomas Centre
30 August 2011
Fifty assets in some of the most deprived areas of the North West are for sale or will be transferred to the Homes & Communities Agency (HCA) on the 19th September.
The full list of assets are below and will be, according to the Government,
"transferred to HCA, with local communities and businesses involved in decisions about future development plans".
According to the press release: "This will maximise the long-term benefits to economic growth and regeneration in local areas."
An important part of the transfer is the way local communities and businesses will have a stewardship role over the transferred assets. Proposals for the North West are available here: NW Stewardship Model.
