Vacancy: Regional Co-ordinator for Community Matters

Community Matters wishes to recruit a new Regional Co-ordinator to cover the North West Region of England (Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Manchester, Wirral, Oldham, Rochdale, Blackpool, Liverpool, Blackburn, Stockport etc).
The role includes delivering capacity support and advice to the Community Matters membership in the region, representing Community Matters in the region, and providing regional information and intelligence to the national Community Matters Head Office.
It also involves working with partners in the Community Alliance (bassac and the Development Trusts Association) to engage multi-purpose community organisations in the region and c-oordinate the delivery of capacity building and advocacy services to support their growth as ‘community anchors’ within their neighbourhoods.
This contract is offered as a self-employed consultancy contract running till the end of December 2011. You should be able to offer up to 96 working days a year. Payment is by monthly invoice, after the work, with a rate currently (reviewed annually) of £200 per day, plus reasonable expenses.
