White Ribbon Campaign
4 November 2009
The White Ribbon Campaign is a campaign run by men which aims to tackle men's violence towards women.
The campaign has expanded to include initiatives for schools, colleges, universities, workplaces, youth clubs and towns. More information can be found inthis leaflet.
The White Ribbon Towns Award is for councils wishing to demonstrate their commitment to the aims of the campaign: raising awareness, understanding and providing services in order to reduce the incidence of domestic violence and to provide the local community with increased support and understanding of this issue. Councils who wish to achieve the award will be asked to meet certain criteria, depending on size, in order to hold the nationally recognised title of White Ribbon Town with the full support of WRC staff.
