Third sector benefits from Real Help for Communities Phase 2 Modernisation Fund Grants

Thirty-two frontline organisations are taking a major step forward, thanks to grants from the Office of the Third Sector in the Cabinet Office, which have awarded them up to £10,000 under the Government's Real Help for Communities: Modernisation Fund.
Administered by Capacitybuilders on behalf of the OTS these grants are to support their plans to collaborate or merge to better respond to the economic climate and the changing demands on the sector. The £10,000 bursary can be used for the costs of merger or collaboration, such as legal fees.
Phase 1 of the programme has already committed over £1m grant funding to the sector for the first steps in exploring options around collaboration and merger.
Organisations that have completed the first phase of the programme still have until 9 November to apply for a phase 2 grant.
