Young Citizens' Action Agenda NW project launched

The Institute for Citizenship has launced the Young Citizens' Action Agenda NW project. It aims to give young people aged 14-19 the skills to play an active role in society and produce solutions to 21st century challenges.

The project aims to:

  • give students briefings on 21st century political, economic and citizenship challenges.
  • promote ‘life skills’ that help young people develop confidence.
  • promote deliberative democracy and active citizenship.
  • empower young people to be creative in helping to produce solutions to 21st century challenges.
  • help society see young people in a more positive light.
  • produce a Young Citizens' Action Agenda NW for the Prime Minister and Government.

The organisation is now approaching schools and youth groups to invite them to host a YCAA NW Workshop at their school. Any such groups who are itnerested should contact Nina (nina@citizen.org.uk /0161 602 3651) or Dorothy (dorothy@citizen.org.uk /0161 602 3651).
