BBC Children in Need final deadline
13 October 2009
BBC Children in Need have one remaining deadline for applications in 2009; October 15. They welcome applications from groups within the voluntary and community sector that work to positively change the lives of children and young people in the United Kingdom.
The funding criteria are broad, however, children must be:
Aged 18 years and under
Living in the UK
And meet one of the definitions of disadvantage:
- illness, distress, neglect, abuse
- any kind of disability
- behaviour or psychological difficulties
- living in poverty or situations of deprivation
Organisations should be Not-for-Profit (ie voluntary organisation, registered charity or self-help group)
Furthermore, your organisation must have:
- A constitution or governing document
- A management committee
- A bank account with two unrelated cheque signatories
- Annual accounts
- A written child protection policy
Children in Need's regional staff can advise on types of projects and organisations we can fund. It is highly recommended that you discuss your application with a member of the North Regional team before applying.
