NW VCS to offer over 5,000 jobs

Over 5,000 employment opportunities are to be offered by the voluntary and community sector in the North West over the next 18 months. Working with sub-regional economic partnerships and local authorities the job offers will be created through the Future Jobs Fund.
Richard Caulfield, Chief Executive of VSNW said that:
"We need to ensure that these are good employment opportunities for young people and those living in areas hardest hit by the recession.
"For us that means a strong focus on continued partnership work: at a regional level through such key bodies as the Regional Skills and Employability Board, and sub-regionally through key third sector infrastructure organisations."
