Rainbow Partnership
The Rainbow Partnership, co-ordinated by the Lesbian & Gay Foundation (LGF) is an initiative which aims to offer a way forward to strengthen and empower Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) communities, and frontline organisations who support them in the North West of England. It also aims to ensure that LGBT frontline organisations have access to and support from mainstream infrastructure organisations.
In order to acheive these aims it has established both physical and virtual networks and will:
- deliver two joint regional campaigns
- produce and distribute regular newsletters across the region and provide a weekly email 'policy watch' service
- produce the first regional LGBT strategy
- hold sub-regional events
- produce web-based fact sheets on key issues
- and establish formal links with mainstream infrastructure organisations.
The Rainbow Partnership also aims to create a network of organisations that can support each other, share best practice, offer guidance and exchange information across the LGBT Sector in the North West.

The Health White Paper Consultation
CONSULTATION FULLY BOOKED
The White Paper on Health has the potential to create one of the biggest changes to the structure and function of the NHS since its creation in 1948. Within the White Paper there are 5 consultations which are all open until early October. Although the ‘what’ in the White Paper has largely been decided, the ‘how’ is very much still being shaped.
