North West Equality & Diversity Group (NWEDG) has now become part of VSNW’s range of network support and its focus is to give emphasis to how the voluntary and community sector can work with partners from other sectors to build momentum on the policy agenda relating to equalities and diversity. A key part of NWEDG’s work is to deliver network meetings to encourage and enable information exchange between organisations supporting equalities groups across the region.
Co-Chairs of NWEDG are Louise Barry, Chief Executive of Merseyside Disability Federation and Paul Martin O.B.E, Chief Executive of The Lesbian and Gay Foundation. Vice Chair is Flick Harris, Chair of Manchester Disabled People's Access Group.
NWEDG have appointed Rosina Ndukwe from Merseyside Disability Federation as Secretariat for NWEDG. This post is 1 day per week and will involve coordinating activities, disseminating information, collating feedback and sharing ideas with the group.
Network Meetings
North West Equality and Diversity Group (NWEDG) Network Meeting June 2012
The next NWEDG meeting will take place on Tuesday 12th June 2012, 2pm – 4:30pm and will be hosted by The Lesbian and Gay Foundation in Manchester. Refreshments will be provided on arrival from 1:30pm.
Louise Barry Chief Executive of Merseyside Disability Federation, Co-Chair of NWEDG will chair the meeting. The agenda and further details about guest speakers will be circulated to all members once confirmed.

NWEDG is also a member of EREN which seeks to facilitate the engagement of influential regional equality networks in a regular dialogue with Government and civil society in order to influence and shape policy; collect, examine and share good practice; exchange information and intelligence; and help with delivery across the country
