November 2009 to November 2010
(Mike Farrar, Chief Executive of NHS NW, at VSNW’09):

- that 2010/2011 is likely to be the last year of substantial increases in the amount of funding going to the NHS

- PCTs, Trusts and NHS NW do not reduce share of funding to VCS in the next 12 months
- PCTs, Trusts and NHS NW do not reduce the level of VCS engagement in the commissioning process (ie in co-designing services)
- That NHS NW and the VCS in the NW explore ways of using NHS personnel development systems to enhance the leadership skills of VCS organisations operating in the North West
- That NHS NW and the VCS in the NW explore ways of using NHS office space (eg empty spaces in some LIFT initiatives) to support VCS groups and bring NHS and VCS personnel into closer working contact
- That we support the development of quality accounts that examine VCS engagement
