Invitation to attend the North West Consultation event on the Commission’s Non Statutory Guidance
26 February 2010
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool
The main purpose of the non-statutory guidance is to help people understand the Equality Act and how it will affect them. Guidance is primarily for non-expert audiences – those who work in or use the services provided by businesses, public bodies or third sector organisations. It sets out the practical steps necessary to comply with the law in a very wide range of everyday situations, giving useful relevant examples and answering frequently asked questions. It enables employers / employees and service providers / users to decide whether existing or proposed practice complies with the law or not.
The consultation events will be an opportunity for you to learn more about the Equality Act and to advise us whether the guidance is suitable for its intended audience.
For more information and to book a place emil aidan.toomey@equalityhumanrights.com or by calling 18002 0161 8298525 or 0161 8298525 (Minicom).
