Gypsy, Roma and Traveller awareness-raising training

16 December 2009 09:45 - 16:30

Children's Society HQ, Margery Street, London, WC1X 0JL

This day course aims to increase participants’ understanding of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, their history and culture and the discrimination they face.

This training is suitable for delegates who already, or may in future, come into contact with members of Gypsy, Roma or Traveller communities. The training can also help organisations with a statutory duty to include ethnic minorities to meet these requirements.

Through engaging with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller culture and history, staff feel more confident in implementing the key principles of good practice in working with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.

Cost £130 + VAT to include lunch, refreshments, attendance certificates and learning packs (voluntary sector discount rate is £110 + VAT).
