Do you want to understand and engage with the new political landscape in the context of the Big Society, Localism and the links with adult education?
This is a free event for community activists and practitioners working with local community organisations. Come and share approaches to community empowerment across the region and connect and strengthen local community links and networks. There will be workshops and information sessions looking at practical tools for increasing participation in future agendas. Themes include The Big Society, Localism Bill, Community Organisers, Learning for Active Citizenship and Parliamentary Outreach. There will also be free tours of the Peoples History Museum.
