Annual Northwest Equality Conference 2009: Diversity is What We Have in Common

This second annual conference will combine presentations and interactive sessions to help find out more about issues and work currently going on surrounding Equality and Diversity in the region. It will also launch the programme for the fourth regional ‘Celebr8 Diversity’ festival.
The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of equality challenges we face in the Northwest and of the range of work already being done to promote Equality and Diversity and feed back on progress on equalities work since last year’s conference.
The conference will also highlight the Equality and Diversity themes & priorities for the new Northwest Regional Strategy RS2010, other future work and the challenges and opportunities for the region arising from the forthcoming Equality Act.

This is a partnership event between the Northwest Regional Development Agency, Government Office NW,4NW Regional Leaders Board, Equality and Human Right Commission, NHS NW and North West Improvement and Efficiency Partnership.
