Everyone's 2012: The Northwest annual 2012 conference
23 July 2010 09:15 - 15:00
Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester
England’s Northwest is fully committed to playing a full part in the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, creating lasting positive legacies from the many opportunities presented.
This annual conference is aimed at all policy makers and practitioners interested in capitalising on the sporting, social and economic benefits generated through London 2012. The conference provides an opportunity to find out how the Northwest is working to maximise the benefits of The Games and for us to celebrate the achievements of our journey to 2012 so far. It will also outline the programmes that will be delivered over the next 12 months and how everyone in the Northwest can get involved in being a part of the 2012 legacy.
Keynote speakers include Charles Allen, Chair of the London 2012 Nations and Regions Group, Andy Worthington, Chair of the NW Steering Group for the 2012 Games, Peter Hensman, NWDA Board Member and Mike Farrar, Chief Executive of NHS Northwest. The conference will also involve a series of breakout sessions offering the chance for delegates to engage in further debate on topics of particular interest.
